Breastfeeding and the Affordable Health Care Act

Under the Affordable Health Care Act (ACA), health insurance plans must provide breastfeeding support, counseling, and equipment for the duration of breastfeeding. This includes the cost of a breast pump and support from a certified Lactation professional. To find out what your plan will cover specifically, contact your insurance provider directly.
